It’s no cakewalk on both sides.

However this is bound to happen. Due to global warming the weather over the mountains is behaving very erratically, causing accumulation of snow, sudden avalanche & many ther dangers. In the last year such catastrophy happened in the Karakoram Mountains. However we have not learnt our lessons. We must stop climbing Evewrest for some time this year in Everest. This year already started with ominous sign of death of one sherpa & accident of one senior Icefall Doctor. International Mountaineering committe must warn Nepal Government & all Foreign & Local Climbing Professional team to take care from this incident.

Sorry for the very naive question however I have heard that the Khumbu Ice Fall can be very dangerous and unpredictable versus going up the North side which doesn’t have that hazard.
