Peter Eigen’s Movie Pick

Peter Eigen is a musician and a great music lover. So no surprise that two of his favourite movies involve music. Firstly, Billy Wilder’s Some Like It Hot with Tony Curtis on saxophone, Jack Lemmon on bass and Marilyn Monroe on vocals (and ukulele!). Then, the Coen brothers’ Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? with its wonderful bluegrass soundtrack.

 “I love Charlie Chaplin,” says Rafael Seligmann. “Especially The Great Dictator and Modern Times. What I like about Chaplin is that he takes complicated things and makes them simple.” My personal favourite among Chaplin’s great movies is City Lights.
