Your concern for the sherpa families is heart warming. I am sending you this You Tube clip about how Finnish guys wanted to help to build a new school in Nepal. They drove all the way from Helsinki to Kathmandu – and today there are several people involved with trying to help children in Nepal, for example a Store of Hope, which sells bracelets and such, which have been made in Nepal:

Maybe somebody could get inspiration of what the Finnish guys did; the journey, the bracelets, what so ever to provide work for the sherpa families now that the situation at the mountains has changed due to the earthquake.
