I can only say that this proves that climbers dont care either/They are just another dead employee even tho he was as accomplish climber if not better than Samuli Mansikka/ Pemba was poor and could not travel the world and make a name for himself like most Sherpas/so yes they will be swept under the rug.this is a great information but to bad you cant get the climbers to read it.

Great article and thank you for giving some insight to the other person whom had died. Terrible accident and I’m glad there’s some information out there so we can understand the other person in our community that we lost.

Thank you for researching this. I too was trying to find out which Pemba as I know a lot of Sherpas (mostly from Rolwaling) and always worry when I hear one has been killed. It really would help if we could distinguish their names better. If the name of their village was published that would greatly help to narrow it down. Another possibility is to have them add their clan names (rhu) as a middle name in addition to the village as every village has many repititions of names.
