Thanks for your interest in this blog and the north pole blog.
Aside from any environmental observations of changes in climate or whatever, I think one of the main reasons for this kind of spectacular expedition is to raise awareness. When people see how beautiful but also how fragile the polar areas are, I think they&#039;re much more aware when it comes to messages about the need to protect them, especially with regard to climate change.
