@Glen Hards,
Thanks for your encouraging feedback Glen.
I am grateful for the opportunities I have to see this fragile ecosystem and photograph it. Of course I am also conscious of the fact that I am doing this for a purpose, and the job can be very stressful. There are also all the other hours in the office, at the computer, in conferences etc.
Still, it is very worthwhile and rewarding, although as you can imagine, some of the developments and changes you see can be depressing at times.

I envy you folks, being a photographer of sorts; I would love to be able to take pictures of the great scenery and wildlife mother Earth has to offer in the Arctic realms. I also want to thank you for your work towards making the world understand how important Global Warming is, and how clean energy must be pursued with haste.

Regards, Glen Hards

Thanks for your comments. From the journalist's point of view, I think it's also essential to distinguish between media, especially between commercial media and public service broadcasters. Of course wherever there is pressure to reach "quotas" of readers, listeners, or viewers, the tendency to go for the sensational is likely to increase.

Great pictures and interesting stories. I think Professor Benn identifies the tension between scientific investigation and the desire of some media for the most dramatic (and therefore attention getting) story very well. Climatic change is the merely the latest to get caught up.
