This week, we dedicate this post to every woman and every girl who knows that education is her way to liberation.

The United Nations celebrated the International Day of the Girl Child on October 11. This year’s theme was: “Empowering Adolescent Girls: Ending the Cycle of Violence.” The UN has been dedicating this day every year since 2012 to focus on the rights of the girl child. According to UN Women: “The day promotes girls’ human rights, highlights gender inequalities that remain between girls and boys and addresses the various forms of discrimination and abuse suffered by girls around the world.”
