Muhammad Yunus has helped millions of women in Bangladesh by helping them get back on their feet financially. For his work on women’s self-help groups and micro-credit financing, Yunus was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006. Yunus also founded the Grameen Bank, an institution that provides credit to the poor.
