WTO’s “Eight fitness rules”
If you want to lose weight it is important to not only change your eating habits, it’s also important to have the right workout program. Here are eight important rules for the right workout.1. Don’t overestimate yourself
In the beginning you want to see quick results. Often women think if they workout every day and exceed their limits they will see faster results. This can lead to serious injuries. Every woman has own workout level and therefore it is important that you start slowly and week by week increase the workout intensity.
2. Never forget your warm-up and cool-down
Every athlete knows that for a workout you need to warm-up and cool down. Stretching is popular for warming up. It is good for the muscles but also for reducing the risk of injuries. Same goes for the cooling down.
3. Never forget your post-workout meal
In the past women used to think that a meal right after a trainings session would be harmful for the results. Today it’s different. It is in fact healthy to take in proteins and carbohydrates. You need it to refill the carbohydrate depots and your muscles will need to regenerate. It is best to take the meal 30 minutes after the session. But not a pizza. Eat a banana, banana shake or a light salad with proteins.
4. Drink enough water
To balance out the loss of water during the workout, the body has to be supplied with water regularly. The sweat regulates the high body temperature during the workout but also you are losing a lot of salt and minerals. Therefore it is very important to drink water regularly before and during the workout.
5. Never train after a long break with the same weights
If you haven’t worked out for a while, you should know that you can’t start with the same weights or with the same intensity as you used to. Your body needs to get used to the workout again.
6. Regeneration days are important
If you do intense workouts it is important that you have days when you rest. Your muscles need the rest for regeneration. After every workout day take one day for resting.
7. Your abdominal muscles grow in the kitchen as well
A lot of women train hard but see no results in the muscle building or body definition. Especially for beginners it is important for results to come as soon as possible. Muscles don’t grow just because of an intense workout. The nutrition is the key for a healthy and slim body. What’s the use of a workout if you drink beer and pizza afterwards? You need good energy levels and an optimal provision of some nutrients during your diet. A good nutrition plan according to your body and workout program will get you the results you want to have.
8. Change your workout sessions regularly
A lot of beginners seem happy to get results with a certain program. But after a while you do your training over and over again and there are no results. It is important to have a variety of programs. This will ensure that different parts and muscles of your body will get trained. Moreover, the variety prevents boredom.
